Temmy`s Belila

Belila as called in Egypt is Wheat with milk, an Egyptian healthy breakfast for the whole family kids and adults; my mother used to make it for us in my childhood specially in winter before we go to school so we get the required energy concentrate. The basic recipe is cooked wheat with added milk and sugar or honey, you can add whatever you like, I serve it with cream sometimes powdered milk with liquid milk (I just love powdered milk taste with wheat), you can add raisins, shredded coconut, toasted nuts, some add cinnamon, cardamom or any preferred flavoring.
